Section 701.110 - Limitation on Program Eligibility

(A) TAFDC and EAEDC-family clients may receive MassHealth and SNAP benefits while on TAFDC or EAEDC. Any individual who is a TAFDC client is not concurrently eligible for EAEDC, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), State Supplement Program (SSP) to the Supplemental Security Income or State Veterans Services Benefits (VSB). Any individual who is an EAEDC client is not concurrently eligible for TAFDC, SSI, SSP or SVSB.

(B) An individual is ineligible for TAFDC if he or she:

(1) is fleeing to avoid prosecution, custody or confinement after conviction, under the laws of the place from which the individual flees, for a crime or an attempt to commit a crime, on or after September 26, 1996, which is a felony under the laws of the place from which the individual flees, or which, in the state of New Jersey, is a high misdemeanor under the laws of such state; or

(2) is violating a condition of probation or parole imposed on or after September 26, 1996 under federal or state law.

(C) An individual is ineligible for TAFDC and EAEDC if he or she has an outstanding default or arrest warrant against him or her issued by any court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
