Section 500.092 - Quality Standards for Bottled Water and Carbonated Non-alcoholic Beverages

(A) Source Water. All source water shall comply with applicable requirements of 310 CMR 22.00: Drinking Water, promulgated by DEP, and with any additional maximum contaminant levels promulgated by EPA and in effect. Source water may be treated to reduce the level of a contaminant or drinking water constituent.
(B) Finished Products: Bottled Water.
(1) The finished product shall conform to the
standards of quality in

CFR §
165.110(b).
(2) Finished products, the quality of which
is below that prescribed by any standard of quality in
21
CFR §
165.110(b)
(i.e. substandard products), shall not be sold or distributed
in any manner in Massachusetts.
