RADIOLOGICAL CRITERIA FOR LICENSE TERMINATION
Section 120.251 - General Requirements

(A) Unless otherwise exempted, a licensee shall transfer waste containing licensed material for disposal, discharge or decay only:
(1) by
transfer to an authorized recipient as provided in
105 CMR
120.256 or in
105 CMR
120.100, or
105
CMR 120.800, or to the U.S. Department of
Energy;
(2) by decay in
storage;
(3) by release in
effluents within the limits in
105 CMR
120.221; or
(4) as authorized pursuant to
105 CMR
120.253 or
120.254.
(B) A person shall be specifically licensed to receive waste containing licensed material from other persons for:
(1) treatment prior to disposal;
(2) treatment by incineration;
(3) decay in storage;
(4) disposal at a land disposal facility
licensed pursuant to
105
CMR 120.800; or
(5) storage until transferred to a storage or
disposal facility authorized to receive the waste.
