Section 09.32.08.02 - Definitions

A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

B. Terms Defined.

(1) "Claimant" means an individual who submits a claim for unemployment insurance benefits.

(2) "Department" means the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.

(3) "Employer" means a person or governmental entity who employs at least one individual within the State and who is an interested party in the determination of the claimant's claim.

(4) "Unemployment insurance office" means:
(a) Any local office that processes claims for unemployment insurance benefits; or

(b) The central office of the Office of Unemployment Insurance of the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.
