The timekeeper shall:
A. Be provided with a whistle and accurate stopwatch;
B. Be seated outside the ring, or fenced area, close to the bell and shall indicate the beginning and ending of each round by striking the bell with a metal hammer;
C. Give an appropriate signal to the contestants' seconds 10 seconds before the beginning of each round;
D. Inform the announcer of the exact duration of a contest that is terminated before the completion of the scheduled number of rounds;
E. Keep the time for a contestant suffering a knockdown; and
F. After a knockdown, rise and start counting with the stopwatch until the count of ten is reached.
