A. The Commission recognizes the following weights and classes:

(1) Flyweight
--------------------- 112 pounds or less;
(2) Bantamweight -------------- over 112 to
118 pounds;
(3) Featherweight
------------- over 118 to 126 pounds;
(4) Junior lightweight -------- over 126 to
130 pounds;
(5) Lightweight
--------------- over 130 to 135 pounds;
(6) Junior welterweight ------- over 135 to
140 pounds;
(7) Welterweight
-------------- over 140 to 147 pounds;
(8) Junior middleweight ------- over 147 to
154 pounds;
(9) Middleweight
-------------- over 154 to 160 pounds;
(10) Junior light heavyweight - over 160 to
168 pounds;
(11) Light heavyweight
-------- over 168 to 175 pounds;
(12) Cruiserweight ------------ over 175 to
190 pounds;
(13) Heavyweight
------------------------- over 190 pounds.
B. If a boxer's weight is greater than the weight specified in the contract, the contest may not take place without special permission of the Commission.
C. A contest may not be allowed in which the weight difference between the boxers in the contest is greater than the following:
(1) Flyweight
----------------------------- 3 pounds;
(2) Bantamweight -------------------------- 4
pounds;
(3) Featherweight
------------------------- 5 pounds;
(4) Junior lightweight -------------------- 6
pounds;
(5) Lightweight
--------------------------- 7 pounds;
(6) Junior welterweight ------------------- 8
pounds;
(7) Welterweight
------------------------- 10 pounds;
(8) Junior middleweight ------------------ 11
pounds;
(9) Middleweight
------------------------- 12 pounds;
(10) Junior light heavyweight ------------ 13
pounds;
(11) Light heavyweight
------------------- 15 pounds;
(12)
Cruiserweight ----------------------- 15 pounds;
(13) Heavyweight ------------------------- No
limit.
D. Weighing In.
(1) Weighing of boxers for events shall take
place not later than 12 noon on the day of the contest.
(2) The boxer's weight shall be determined by
a member of the Commission in the presence of the matchmaker, promoter, or
manager of the boxers scheduled in a contest.
(3) Opponents shall be weighed in the
presence of each other.
(4) A boxer
shall be weighed wearing not more than trunks and socks.
(5) Members of the press may be permitted to
attend the weighing in.
(6) Scales
used for the weighing in shall be approved annually by the Division of Weights
and Measures.
