Chapter 280 - FILING REQUIREMENTS FOR PRESCRIBERS SEEKING CONFIDENTIALITY PROTECTION
Section 590-280-2 - Filing Requirements
Current through 2024-38, September 18, 2024
A prescriber who seeks confidentiality protection pertaining to prescription drug information pursuant to 22 M.R.S.A., Sections1711-E, Subsection 4, and 8713 must conform to the following requirements.
A. Filing Method. Prescribers shall file, and when necessary, update with the MHDO the information described in Section 3 directly via a secure, internet, web-based registration form. The URL address of the web-based registration form will be indicated on all applicable prescriber license or certificate renewal forms, whether in an electronic or paper format. A prescriber may register with the MHDO at any time prior to his or her renewal date using the URL address, which shall be provided by the appropriate licensing entity or the MHDO.
B. Filing Frequency. After the confidentiality protection registration form is initially completed by the prescriber, it shall remain in effect in perpetuity. If a prescriber wishes to waive his or her confidentiality protection, the prescriber must notify the MHDO in writing. Electronic notifications shall not be accepted.
C. Modifications. If any of the information submitted on the initial registration form is inaccurate or no longer valid, the form may be modified at any time. It is the responsibility of the prescriber to make the modifications, as needed, and not the responsibility of the MHDO to ensure that all of the information is the most current.
