1. Permit Corrections and/or Changes
A. A permittee may request a permit
correction and/or change to a previously issued permit by calling the Overlimit
Permit Unit directly.
B. Once a
permit change is approved the permittee will be instructed to amend the permit
to reflect the change. The permit must also be notated with the date, time, and
initials of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles issuing official approving the change.
Corrected permit information is available to law enforcement at
roadside.
C. No changes will be
allowed after a move has taken place.
2. Transfer Policy
A.
Trip permits
(1) A vehicle may be substituted for another
with proper notice to the Overlimit Permit Unit at no extra charge.
(2) Once the vehicle substitution is
approved, the permit should be modified as described in sub-paragraph 1.B.
above.
B.
Long
term permits
(1) If a permittee
removes a vehicle from service, it is permissible to amend the permit after
proper notice to and approval by the Overlimit Permit Unit to reflect a new
vehicle for the remainder of the term of the permit.
