Section 179-5-II - Dive Manual

A. Each agency conducting public safety diving shall develop and maintain a written dive operations manual that contains policies and procedures to protect divers. Each dive manual shall be reviewed annually.

B. Each dive manual shall contain, at a minimum, the following sections:

1. Scope

2. Dive Operations Chain of Command

3. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Dive Operations

4. Equipment maintenance/inspection

5. Medical Evaluation and Clearance

6. Training

7. Emergency Action Plan

8. Recordkeeping
