Chapter 15 - BENEFIT PAYMENTS TO ATHLETES

1. For purposes of subsection 10 of section 1192 of the Employment Security Law, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
A.
"Athletes" shall mean those persons who are players on the roster of a sports
team, either on the active player roster or in a reserve capacity.
B. "Reasonable assurance" means a written,
verbal or implied agreement, or an accepted practice of the sport or athletic
event.
C. "Substantially all" means
that at least eighty percent (80%) of an athlete's total time in covered
services during the base period consists of participating in, training, or
preparing to participate in sports or athletic events.
