Section 144-332-10-1 - MEDICALLY NEEDY COVERAGE GROUPS

Section 1.1: Eligible Medically Needy Groups

The Medically Needy coverage groups are available to individuals who meet the categorical criteria of a Medical coverage but are ineligible because of excess income. Individuals eligible for the Medically Needy coverage groups include:

I. Persons who are aged, blind, or disabled (as defined in Part 6, Section 4 )

II. Children under age 21

III. Pregnant Women

IV. Parent/Caretaker Relatives (as defined in Part 3, Section 2.2)

Section 1.2: Ineligible Coverage Groups

Medically Needy coverage is not available to people in the following coverage groups:

I. Expansion Adults (as defined in Part 3, Section 2.4)

II. Medicare Savings Program (Part 8)

III. Limited coverage groups (as defined in Part 9)
