Chapter 325 - 1987 FLOOD RECOVERY POLICY
Section 144-325-I - PURPOSE

This program was approved by the 113th Session of the Maine Legislature. Funds were provided to assist applicants with needs arising as a result of the April 1987 flood. These needs include replacement of personal items, household furnishings and structural repair.

Specific objectives of the program in order to meet those necessary expenses or serious needs for disaster victims include:

- to meet those needs as expeditiously as possible.

- to meet those needs as accurately as possible within the scope of the program.

- to accomplish the above in an atmosphere of dignity and respect for the victims wherever feasible.
