Section 144-222-3 - Notification of Radioactive Releases

Current through 2024-38, September 18, 2024

A. Events Requiring Notification.

1. Releases of radioactivity; or

2. A breakdown, malfunction or inoperability of safety related equipment reportable under 10 CFR Part 21.

B. Individuals to be Notified. Maine Yankee representatives shall provide notice of a release to:

1. the public;

2. the Commissioner of the Department of Human Services, or the Commissioner's designee; and

3. the Director of the Maine Emergency Management Agency, MEMA, or the Director's designee.
