Section 144-220-K-1 - Purpose and Scope

A. For the purpose of this rule , the requirements for persons using sources of radiation for wireline service operations including mineral logging, radioactive markers, and subsurface tracer studies as specified in 10 CFR Part 39, "Licenses and Radiation Safety Requirements for Well Logging," are incorporated by reference. The requirements of this section are in addition to, and not in substitution for, the requirements of Parts A, B, C, D, and J of this rule .
B. Notwithstanding the requirements incorporated by reference, 10 CFR 39.5 (relating to interpretations), 10 CFR 39.8 (relating to information collection), 10 CFR 39.101 (relating to violations), and 10 CFR 39.103 (relating to criminal penalties) are not incorporated by reference.
