Section 144-118-10.L - Drug Labeling

Labeling of drugs and biologicals must be based on currently accepted professional principles and practices:

09/01/07 10.L.1. Each drug container must be clearly labeled and the label must include:

a. Prescription number;

b. Client's full name;

c. The name, strength and dosage form of the drug;

d. Directions for use;

e. Name of physician prescribing;

f. Name and address of pharmacy issuing the drug;

g. Date of issuance or latest refill;

h. Expiration date; and

09/01/07 j. The appropriate accessory and cautionary instructions.

09/01/07 10.L.2. A medication must be used only by the client for whom it was issued.
