Chapter 686 - STANDARDS FOR ASSESSING ABILITY TO PAY DEDUCTIBLES UNDER THE STATE INSURANCE PROGRAM FOR OIL STORAGE TANKS
Section 096-686-2 - Applicability

Current through 2024-38, September 18, 2024

An applicant determined by the commissioner or the State Fire Marshal to be eligible for coverage under the Fund Insurance Program is required under 38 M.R.S. §568-A(2) to pay a standard deductible and conditional deductibles to the extent applicable. The commissioner may waive this requirement for deductibles assessed on an oil storage facility serving the applicant's personal residence if the commissioner determines the applicant does not have the financial resources to pay the assessed deductible amount. This chapter sets forth the standards used by the Department to assess an applicant's ability to pay.
