Section 096-580-2 - Collection and Analysis of Water Samples for Bacterial Content

Samples shall be surface grabs collected and analyzed in accordance with procedures set forth in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency publications "Microbiological Methods for Monitoring the Environment" and "Test Methods for Escherichia coli and Enterococci in Water by the Membrane Filter Procedure" except that (1) samples shall be collected from locations where the water depth is at least two feet and (2) refrigerated samples may be held for up to 24 hours prior to analysis.
