Section 502-3-A-3 - Transitional Certification for Herbal Practitioners Licensed or Certified in Another State

An acupuncturist licensed pursuant to Chapter 3 of the board's rules who is also licensed to practice custom-made Chinese herbal formulation by the licensing authority of another state may continue to practice that modality in this state for up to 3 years following initial certification by the board. The acupuncturist may continue to practice custom-made Chinese herbal formulation after expiration of this 3-year period as set forth in 32 MRSA §12513-A(3)(C), or upon meeting the eligibility standard contained in Section 1 of this chapter.
