Section 502-3-A-2 - Transitional Certification for Experienced Maine Herbal Practitioners

An acupuncturist licensed pursuant to Chapter 3 of the board's rules who was engaged in the practice of custom-made Chinese herbal formulation prior to July 1, 2004 may continue to practice that modality until September 5, 2008 upon presentation of statements from two licensees, two colleagues with acupuncture licensing or certification in another state, or three patients. The acupuncturist may practice custom-made Chinese herbal formulation after September 5, 2008 only upon meeting the eligibility standard contained in Section 1 of this chapter.
