"Central fill pharmacy" is a pharmacy that prepares prescription drug orders for dispensing pursuant to a valid prescription transmitted to it by a retail pharmacy, rural health center or free clinic; or by a dispensary, hospital pharmacy, extended care facility, boarding home, nursing home, drug abuse treatment center, penal institution, family planning center, medical clinic or any other facility that is not registered or licensed by the board, and returns the labeled and filled prescriptions to the retail pharmacy or other source of origin for delivery to the patient or the authorized agent of the patient.
