Chapter 7 - ENFORCEMENT AND DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES
Section 297-7-2 - Grounds for discipline

The Board may take disciplinary action authorized by statute based upon any of the grounds set forth in 32 MRSA §503-A(2) (A through(I).
A. The practice of fraud or deceit in obtaining a license under this chapter or in connection with services rendered as a chiropractic doctor or assistant.
B. Addiction, as confirmed by medical findings, to the use of alcohol or other drugs, which has resulted in the chiropractic doctor or assistant being unable to perform his or her duties or perform those duties in a manner which would not endanger the health or safety of the clients or patients to be served.
C. A medical finding of mental incompetence as determined by a qualified professional.
D. Aiding or abetting a person not duly licensed in representing him/herself as a licensed chiropractic doctor or assistant.
E. Incompetence or misconduct in the practice of chiropractic.
F. Unprofessional conduct as set forth within these rules, and as referenced in the Code of Ethics set forth in Chapter 8.
G. Engaging in false, misleading or deceptive advertising in the practice of chiropractic.
H. Subject to the limitations of 5 MRSA chapter 341, Conviction of a class A, B, C, D or E Crime or of a crime which, if committed in this State, would be punishable by one year or more of imprisonment.
I. Violation of any provision of this chapter or any rule of the Board.
