The Board, in its discretion, may extend complete or partial reciprocity to currently registered geologists and soil scientists of other states or countries, where the Board determines that the education, experience and testing requirements of the other jurisdiction are equivalent to those set forth in this Act. Examinations shall be required for those specialty areas required by the Maine examination and not covered by the examination in the applicant's state or country. Reciprocity is limited to those applicants who have passed examinations in their respective states or countries and not to those registered as a result of being grandfathered.
