Chapter 4 - CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

A. An applicant applying to sit for a Geologist or Soil Scientist examination must comply with 32 M.R.S.A. §4909.
B. Each applicant for certification as a Geologist or Soil Scientist issued by the Board shall make application on forms supplied by the Board. The application shall include the following:
1. Official college transcripts;
2. Three professional and two personal
references; and
3. Application and
examination fee.
C. The Board shall evaluate the qualifications of each applicant. Within ten days of its approval or denial, the Board will notify the applicant of its decision and of his or her right of appeal.
