The Superintendent of Insurance has adopted this Rule, pursuant to 24-AM.R.S.A. §§212, 404, 413, 414, 2151-B, and 2186, in order to set standards and procedures under which an insurance company may apply for a Certificate of Authority to transact the business of insurance in Maine or for amendment of an existing Certificate of Authority.
