Rule 020-3-24 - Time Periods

Current through 2024-13, March 27, 2024

In computing any time period prescribed or allowed by these rules, the Maine Agricultural Marketing and Bargaining Act of 1973, or any other applicable statute or order,, the day of the act or event after which the designated period of time begins to run is not to be included. The last day of the period so computed is to be included, unless it is a Saturday, a Sunday,, or a legal holiday, in which event the period runs until the end of the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday. When the period of time prescribed or allowed is less than ten days, intermediate Saturdays, Sundays and holidays shall not be included in the computation.

For the purpose of this section, legal holidays shall include days designated by the Governor as paid holidays for the purposes of state employment.
