Section 001-332-8 - PLUMBING SYSTEM

A. A plumbing system and hoses that convey potable water shall be designed, constructed, and installed according to Law. The plumbing system shall be repaired according to law and maintained in good repair.

B. Hot and cold water under pressure shall be provided in all areas, for the processing of food, the cleaning of equipment, utensils, and for employee sanitary facilities.

C. A plumbing fixture such as ware wash and hand washings inks, toilet, or urinal shall be easily cleanable.

D. A backflow or back siphon age prevention device shall be installed on a water supply system or hose bibs for construction, installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing for that specific application and type of device.

E. A cross connection by connecting a pipe or conduit between the drinking water system and a non-drinking water system or a water system of unknown quality is prohibited.

F. A two-compartment sink constructed of durable non-corrosive material with drain board(s) or rack shall be provided for cleaning, sanitizing and air drying of utensils and equipment. The ware wash sink shall be provided with hot and cold running water under pressure. The ware washing sink(s) shall not be used for the disposal of waste water.
