Section 001-3-1.1 - POLICY STATEMENT

The purpose of these rules is to implement Title II of the Emergency Jobs and Humanitarian Aid Programs Bill, the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program Act of 1983, Public Law 98-8 as amended ("Act"). The Act establishes a program through which surplus agricultural commodities are made available to needy persons through emergency feeding organizations. Federal funds have been appropriated for the cost of storage and distribution of these commodities.
