Section I-507 - Duties of the Chairman

A. The powers and duties of the chairman shall be:
1. to
preside as chairman at al meetings of the board, with the right to vote on all
motions;
2. to see that the laws of
the state, pertaining to the purposes and functions, of the board, the motions
of the board and its policies are faithfully observed and executed;
3. to call special meetings of the board, at
his discretion, or upon the written request of eight members;
4. to establish committees and appoint
members thereof, at his discretion, as he deems necessary to carry out the
business of the board;
5. to serve
as an ex-officio member of all committees;
6. to perform such other duties as are
usually incumbent upon the chairman of the Seafood Promotion and Marketing
Board.
