A. In addition to pertinent requirements contained in the general quarantine regulations (Subchapter A of this Chapter), the following conditions apply to issuance of certificates.
1. Cottonseed. A certificate for intrastate
movement of cottonseed will be issued only when the cottonseed are ginned in an
approved gin with an approved treatment under the supervision of a department
inspector.
2. Cottonseed Hulls
Produced from Treated Cottonseed. Certificates for intrastate movement of
treated cottonseed hulls from a regulated area may be issued when such hulls
are:
a. produced from sterilized seed
originating in a regulated area;
b.
processed in an authorized cotton oil mill under the supervision of an
inspector; and
c. subsequently
protected from infestation.
3. Cottonseed Hulls Produced from Untreated
Cottonseed. Certificates for intrastate movement of untreated cottonseed hulls
from a regulated area may be issued when the hulls are produced from
unsterilized seed processed in a designated oil mill and treated by passing
through an approved fan.
4. Okra
a. Certificates for the intrastate movement
of edible okra originating in a regulated area outside the state of Louisiana
may be issued when the shipment is inspected and found to be free of pink
bollworm infestation.
b. Dried okra
seed originating in a regulated area shall be disinfected in an approved manner
before being permitted to move within or outside of the regulated
area.
