A. The commission shall be authorized to elect the following officers, who in turn will have the following authority and duties.
1. Chairman.
The commission shall elect a chairman, who shall be one of its members, and who
shall be elected at the annual meeting of the commission. The chairman shall be
the chief executive officer of the commission and shall preside at all meetings
thereof. He shall have general and active management of the business of the
commission, and shall see that all orders and resolutions of the commission are
carried into effect. He shall execute all contracts and other documents on
behalf of the commission.
2.
Vice-Chairman. The vice-chairman shall serve in the absence of the chairman,
and shall be elected at the annual meeting of the commission.
3. Treasurer. The treasurer of the commission
shall be elected at the annual meeting and shall keep a record of all monies
received and paid out, making a report of same to the commission at each
regular or special meeting at the pleasure of the commission.
4. Secretary. The secretary of the commission
shall be elected by the commission at the annual meeting, but he or she need
not be a member of the commission. The secretary shall attend all meetings of
the commission and shall record all votes and the minutes of all proceedings,
which recordings shall be permanently preserved. The secretary shall give or
cause to be given notice of all meetings, and shall perform such other duties
ordinarily attendant to a secretary of a corporation.
5. Other Officers. The commission may elect
such other officers which may be necessary to carry out the duties of the
commission in accordance with these rules and regulations.
