A. Center-based respite (CBR) care is temporary, shortterm care provided to a beneficiary with developmental disabilities who requires support and/or supervision in his/her day-to-day life due to the absence or relief of the primary caregiver. While receiving center-based respite care, the beneficiary's routine is maintained in order to attend school, work or other community activities/outings. The respite center is responsible for providing transportation for community outings, as that is included as part of its reimbursement.

C. Service Limits. CBR services shall not exceed 720 hours per beneficiary, per CPOC year.
D. Provider Requirements. Providers must be licensed by the Department of Health as a home and community-based services provider and must meet the module specific requirements for the service being provided.
