A. The governing body shall designate an individual who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the HHA and shall ensure that all services provided are consistent with accepted standards of practice.
B. Responsibilities. The governing body shall:
1. conduct an annual documented review
of the policies and procedures, the budget, overall program evaluation,
statistical information, complaint resolutions, any projected changes, and
emergency preparedness;
2. maintain
written minutes of meetings with the signatures of all attendees, dates, and
times; and
3. receive written
notification of any of the following:
a. the
agency's administrator or clinical manager is fired, resigns, or becomes
incapacitated to the extent that he/she can no longer perform his/her
duties;
b. the agency is surveyed
and found to be in violation of the state law, minimum standards, Rules, or
regulations of LDH;
c. any other
grounds which adversely affect the agency's operation;
4. shall receive and acknowledge the results
of any QAPI evaluation; and
5.
maintain an organizational chart that delineates lines of authority and
responsibility for all home health personnel.
