A. The ABI facility shall develop, implement and comply with facility-specific written policies and procedures related to compliance with this Section, including, but not limited to policies and procedures that include provisions for:
1. protect clients from abuse/neglect and/or
injury inflicted by other clients, staff or third parties;
2. ensure that the client and/or reporter of
the abuse is protected from potential harassment during the
investigation;
3. ensure training
and maintaining staff awareness of abuse prevention, current definitions of
abuse and neglect, reporting requirements and applicable laws;
4. ensure that procedures for reporting
critical incidents involving abuse and neglect are followed; and
5. ensure that the director completes an
investigation report within five working days.
