A. In the non-hospital emergency setting, out-of-hospital care minimizes systemic insult or injury and manages life-threatening conditions through high-quality consistent emergency standards of care. Such care is dependent on continuous quality improvement, effective monitoring, medical oversight of out-of-hospital protocols, and collaboration of medical physicians and licensed emergency services personnel.
