A. The purpose of this Chapter is to:
1. provide for the
development, establishment, and enforcement of statewide licensing standards
for the care of patients and clients in level III crisis receiving centers
(CRCs);
2. ensure the maintenance
of these standards; and
3. regulate
conditions in these facilities through a program of licensure which shall
promote safe and adequate treatment of clients of behavioral health
facilities.
B. The purpose of a CRC is to provide intervention and stabilization services in order for the client to achieve stabilization and be discharged and referred to the lowest appropriate level of care that meets the client's needs. The estimated length of short term stay in a CRC is 3-7 days.
C. In addition to the requirements stated herein, all licensed CRCs shall comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
