A. The prohibitions of Subsection 5709. B of this Chapter shall not apply to:
1. an assigned athletic coach administering
and supervising his normal sports activities;
2. a person who undertakes to perform or
actually performs the activities of an athletic trainer in the employment of an
educational institution or athletic organization domiciled in another state,
while accompanying and attending athletes of an educational institution or
athletic organization domiciled in another state during or in connection with
an athletic contest conducted in Louisiana;
3. a person acting under and within the scope
of professional licensure issued by another licensing agency of the state of
Louisiana; or
4. any person
enrolled in a CAATE accredited athletic training education program and who is
designated by a title which clearly indicates his status as a
student.
