A. A person desiring to be licensed as an interior designer shall apply to the board for licensure. Each applicant shall apply to the board on a form and in the manner prescribed by the board. To be eligible for the examination, an applicant shall submit satisfactory evidence of having successfully completed at least four years of study at the high school level, and in addition meets at least one of the following requirements:

All such education shall have been obtained in a program, school, or college of interior design accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) or any direct replacement entity or in an unaccredited program, school or college of interior design approved by the board. The unaccredited program, school or college of interior design will be evaluated on a case by case basis. The board shall review and approve interior design experience on a case by case basis.
