A. A person holding a practice credential, specialty certification or status shall not:
1. misrepresent any professional
qualifications or associations;
2.
misrepresent any agency or organization by presenting it as having attributes
which it does not possess;
3. make
claims about the efficacy of any service that go beyond those which the
counselor or specialist would be willing to subject to professional scrutiny
through publishing the results and claims in a professional journal;
4. encourage or, within the counselor's or
specialist's power, allow a client to hold exaggerated ideas about the efficacy
of services provided by the counselor or specialist.
