A. Prohibited Occupations. The following occupations are prohibited to minors:
1. excavating, working in, or backfilling
trenches which exceed 4 feet in depth at any point;
2. excavating for buildings or other
structures, or working in such excavations which exceed 4 feet in depth at any
point;
3. working within tunnels
prior to completion of all driving and shoring operations; and
4. working within shafts prior to the
completion of all sinking and shoring operations.
B. Exemptions. Registered apprentices and registered student-learners are exempt from the prohibitions which apply to occupations in excavation work.
