A. Each operator shall maintain current maps and records of its pipeline systems that include at least the following information: [ 49 CFR 195.404(a)]
1. location and identification of the
following pipeline facilities: [

195.404(a)(1)]
a. breakout tanks; [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(i)]
b. pump stations; [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(ii)
]
c. scraper and sphere facilities;
[
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(iii)
]
d. pipeline valves; [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(iv)
]
e. facilities to which §30402.
C.9 applies; [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(v)]
f. rights-of-way; and [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(vi)
]
g. safety devices to which
§30428 applies; [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(1)(vii)
]
2. all crossings of
public roads, railroads, rivers, buried utilities, and foreign pipelines; [

195.404(a)(2)]
3. the maximum operating pressure of each
pipeline; [
49 CFR
195.404(a)(3)]
4. the diameter, grade, type, and nominal
wall thickness of all pipe. [

195.404(a)(4)]
B. Each operator shall maintain for at least three years daily operating records that indicate: [ 49 CFR 195.404(b)]
1. the discharge pressure at each pump
station; and [
49 CFR
195.404(b)(1)]
2. any emergency or abnormal operation to
which the procedures under
§30402 apply. [

195.404(b)(2)]
C. Each operator shall maintain the following records for the periods specified: [ 49 CFR 195.404(c)]
1. the date, location, and description of
each repair made to pipe shall be maintained for the useful life of the pipe; [

195.404(c)(1)]
2. the date, location, and description of
each repair made to parts of the pipeline system other than pipe shall be
maintained for at least one year; [

195.404(c)(2)]
3. a record of each inspection and test
required by this Chapter shall be maintained for at least two years or until
the next inspection or test is performed, whichever is longer. [
