A. Persons managing universal waste that is imported from a foreign country into the United States are subject to the applicable requirements of this Chapter, immediately after the waste enters the United States, as indicated in Paragraphs A.1-3 of this Section.
1. A universal waste transporter is
subject to the universal waste transporter requirements of Subchapter D of this
Chapter.
2. A universal waste
handler is subject to the small or large quantity handler of universal waste
requirements of Subchapter B or C of this Chapter, as applicable.
3. An owner or operator of a destination
facility is subject to the destination facility requirements of Subchapter E of
this Chapter.
B. Persons managing universal waste that is imported from an OECD country as specified in LAC 33:V.1113.I.1.a are subject to Paragraphs A.1-3 of this Section, in addition to the requirements of LAC 33:V.Chapter 11.Subchapter B.
