Chapter 27 - Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) in Schools and State Buildings
Section III-2713 - Assessment

A. The local education agency or state government shall have an accredited inspector provide the following.
B. The inspector shall classify and give reasons in the written assessment for classifying the ACBM and suspected ACBM assumed to be ACM in the school or state building into one of the following categories:
C. Assessment may include the following considerations.

The local education agency or the state government shall select a person accredited to develop management plans to review the results of each inspection, reinspection, and assessment for the school or state building and to conduct any other necessary activities in order to recommend in writing to the local education agency or the state government appropriate response actions. The accredited person shall sign and date the recommendation, provide a copy of his or her accreditation certificate current at the time of management plan development or other action, and submit a copy of the recommendation to the person designated under LAC 33:III.2705.A.7.
