A. Each LEA shall ensure that the IEP team for each student with an exceptionality includes all of the required participants, as listed below:
1. one or both of the parents of the
student;
2. input from at least one
regular education teacher of the student to the extent appropriate, in the
development, review and revision of the student's IEP;
3. at least one special education teacher of
the student;
4. an officially
designated representative of the LEA;
5. an individual who can interpret the
instructional implications of evaluation as designated by the
district;
6. at the discretion of
the parent or LEA, other individuals who have knowledge or special expertise
regarding the student, including related service personnel as appropriate. The
determination of the knowledge or special expertise of any individual shall be
made by either the parent or the LEA, whoever invited the individual to be a
member of the IEP team;
7. whenever
appropriate, the student identified as gifted or talented.
