A. The goal of the standards project is to:
1. develop a
framework of essential knowledge and skills for Louisiana students that
reflects contemporary knowledge about teaching and learning;
2. prepare students to apply their knowledge
in a variety of situations; and
3.
prepare students for life-long learning.
