A. Each LEA shall maintain a balanced, comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and coordinated program of student services. The student services program shall be identified with appropriate functions to assure leadership in accordance with an organizational plan.
B. The goals of student services shall be similar
and related to those of the instructional program.
1. These services shall be designed to
provide a cooperative approach to problems that require a specialized,
individualized service not generally provided within the regular classroom
setting and to provide resources to other school personnel, parents, and others
concerned with the student and his or her development.
2. Student advocacy shall be the ultimate and
foremost goal of all student services.
