A. Proper Tool Management:
1. identify common hand and power
tools;
2. proper selection and
application of hand tools;
3.
proper selection and application of power tools;
4. proper care for tools;
5. safe techniques for using
ladders;
6. defects that make tools
unsafe to use;
7. use of meters to
take readings.
B. Proper Rigging Methods:
1. proper knots;
2. proper techniques for rigging and
hoisting;
3. safe capacities for
lifting arrangements.
C. Proper Digging Techniques:
1. depth and shape
of holes for supporting poles;
2.
proper techniques for digging, grading and leveling trenches for the
installation of duct work.
D. Proper Use of Motorized Tools (use of platform lifts, bucket truck, and truck mounted cranes)
E. Proper Material Management:
1. identify commonly used materials by
name;
2. proper selection and
application of materials.
