Section I-105 - Purposes of Contracts

A. A contract for survey and salvage shall be executed by the state archaeologist or his authorized representative, acting pursuant to the authority of a resolution of the commission approving such contract. Contracts will be granted by the commission for the following purposes:
1.
investigations oriented toward the solution of a particular research
problem;
2. preparation of a site
for public interpretation;
3.
restoration and preservation of a site as a nonrenewable cultural
resource;
4. salvaging information
and specimens threatened with immediate partial or total destruction;
5. investigations undertaken by the
commission acting through a contractor for any of the commission purposes under
the Act.
