A. The Louisiana Committee on Parole, hereinafter referred to as the "committee," has the authority:
1. to determine the time and
conditions of release on parole of any person who has been convicted of a
felony and sentenced to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and
Corrections and who is statutorily eligible for parole consideration;
and
2. to determine and impose
sanctions for violation of the conditions of parole.
