Section 201 KAR 9:305 - Continued licensure of athletic trainers

NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 311.901(1) requires the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure to promulgate administrative regulations relating to the licensure and regulation of athletic trainers and continuing education requirements. This administrative regulation establishes the continuing education requirements for the continued licensure of athletic trainers.

Section 1. Definition. "CEU" means the completion of ten (10) hours of educational courses approved by the:

(1) Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure; or

(2) Board of Certification, Inc.

Section 2. An athletic trainer licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky shall complete six (6) CEUs during each three (3) year renewal cycle beginning with the renewal cycle that ends on June 30, 2015.
