NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 322.040 establishes the criteria for credentialing persons under the jurisdiction of the board. KRS 322.120 establishes the requirements for licensure by reciprocity. This administrative regulation establishes classes of applicants for professional engineers and land surveyors for convenience in discussing and processing applications for licenses, certification and examination.
Section 1. Classes of Applicants.
(1) For convenience in discussing
and processing applications for licenses, certification and examinations, there
are hereby established the following four (4) classes of applicants.
(2) Professional engineer. This class
includes those applying for engineering licenses pursuant to
KRS
322.040(1), (2) and (4) or
322.120.
(3) Engineer-in-training. This class includes
those applying for certification as engineers-in-training pursuant to
201 KAR
18:030.
(4) Professional land surveyor. This class
includes those applying for a land surveying license pursuant to
KRS
322.040(3) and (4) or
322.120.
(5) Land surveyor-in-training. This class
includes those applying for certification as land surveyors-in-training
pursuant to
201 KAR
18:030.
